Bugs help us in lots of ways. Explore the world of bugs and learn more about these little creatures that do so much.
Draw a Bug Poster (#1) – Brownies will learn about the different names and types of insects and body features, by drawing their differences on a small poster.
Try a Bug Craft (# 2) – Brownies will have an opportunity to make a craft related to insects.
“See Bugs in Action” (# 3) while “Exploring Bug Homes” (# 4) – Brownies will go on a field walk through the trails of Quinta Mazatlán to see a variety of insects and other critters in a variety of habitats.

Girl Scouts love to sing hiking songs, pack fun and tasty snacks, and hunt for sounds of animals and birds. Here's what you need to know to become a Brownie hiker- get ready for adventure!
“Decide where to go” #1 – Decide to go to QUINTA MAZATLAN!
“Try out a Hiking Skill” #2 & “Go on a Hike” # 5– Brownies be provided maps and compasses to find their way to the “amphitheater” where they can watch for birds, to the “Ruby Pond” where they can explore pond creatures, and “Ebony Grove” where they can see a new forest being created.
“Pick the Right Gear” #3 – Brownies will be taught what items to pack and take along on a hike.
“Pack a Snack for Energy” #4 – (NOT PROVIDED, but the troop leader is welcome to bring some along.)
