Ages 5-8
ADVENTUROUS NATURE ARTISTS
- • June 3-6 and July 1-4
- • Young artist will learn how to use their voice as an act of stewardship through photography, nature journaling, upcycled art and more!
MUSIC & MOVEMENT
- • June 10-13 and July 8-11
- • Campers will become more in tune with the natural world through exploring everything form music, to storytelling and mindfulness practices, exercising peace, respect, gratitude and building confidence.
WONDERS OF WILDLIFE
- • June 17-20- and July 15-18
- •Take a deeper look into the Tamaulipan Thorn Forest where lives an abundance of native birds, plants and other wildlife! Learn how to identify plants and animals and engage curiosity with science!
STEAM in NATURE
- • June 24-27 and July 22-25
- • In this hands-on class, Campers will explore how science, technology, engineering, art and math may be used together to understand our natural world and its many wonders. From science experiments to artistic expression to field studies, there is something for everyone!
Ages 9 -13
JUNIOR BOTANISTS
- • June 3-6 and July 1-4
- • Campers will learn the value of native plants, from their anatomy to how they benefit our powerful pollinators. Explorative activities will include: Plant pressing, wildflower gardening, and creating upcycled planters to take a native plant home!
CAMP TALON (Teen Adventures Learning Ornithology & Nature)
- • June 10-13 and July 8-11
- • Campers will enjoy an immersive learning experience as they trek through the Thorn forest, applying learned birding tools, identification techniques and explore their curiosities further through am upcycle birdhouse project, which they will have the opportunity to study all summer long via a set live stream.
GEOLOGY ROCKS!
- • June 17-20- and July 15-18
- • Campers will learn how geologists have discovered the many wonders around Earth’s formation with experiments, geode and rock studies, natural history and more!
GROW & FLOW
- • June 24-27 and July 22-25
- • Campers will engage in mindfulness activities, exercising peace, gratitude and building confidence through everything from forest meditations to storytelling, art, journaling, music and more!
