Garden Etiquette


To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, and to protect and maintain the historic home and grounds, Quinta Mazatlan asks all guests to be aware of the following guidelines during their visit.

Quinta Mazatlan Etiquette


    IN THE URBAN SANCTUARY

    •  Remain on designated paths; do not walk-through flower beds or foliage. Do not block pathways for other guests.
    •  
    • Leave flowers and plants for everyone to enjoy; do not cut, uproot, or otherwise interfere with plant life. 
    •  
    • Refrain from climbing trees and garden structures and from wading in fountains and other water features around the house and on the trails.Supervise any young guests with you 
    •  
    •  Only certified service animals are permitted in the gardens; as well as the creatures that roam freely in nature and call the forest their home.
    •  
    •  Picnics are allowed; please dispose of all garbage into receptacles and/or remove from the property
    •  
    •  Please be respectful of the grounds and other guests and enjoy the urban sanctuary peacefully; please refrain from making unreasonably loud noises
    •  
    •  Amateur photography is welcome but should not interfere with other guests. If you’re planning on a “photo shoot” please visit the “Rental” tab for more information on photography fees and guidelines.
    •  
    •  Please dress appropriately for the weather and elements at our family-friendly urban sanctuary.
    •  
    •  Children must be supervised at all times.

     

    IN THE HISTORIC HOME

    •  For the protection of the historic adobe home, artwork, and furniture, please be respectful of this “mansion with a mission”.
    •  
    •  Food (including candy and gum) and beverages should be enjoyed outdoors.
    •  
    •  Children must be supervised at all times.
    •  
    •  Amateur photography is welcome but should not interfere with other guests. If you’re planning a “photo shoot” please visit the “Rental” tab for more information on photography fees and guidelines.

    •  Please do not move or remove any furniture, artwork or décor.

    What Not to Bring


    •  All areas of the property are a nicotine-free environment, including smokeless electronic cigarettes/vaping, chewing tobacco and other forms.
    •  
    •  Active sports and games (Frisbee, ball playing, biking, yard games, etc.) are not allowed. A bicycle rack is located in the parking lot at the front of the property.
    •  
    •  Fire, candles, and/or campfires are prohibited at the urban sanctuary.
    •  
    •  No alcoholic beverages are allowed during regular business hours. If interested in a special “rental event”, please visit the “Rental” tab for more information.
    •  
    •  Drones or any other form of UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) are not permitted.
