Thursday Night Live

Our weekly event series features a unique program every Thursday night, offering a diverse range of entertainment, workshops, and activities. Each week brings something new and exciting, ensuring there's always something for everyone to enjoy!

Walk with a Naturalist

• Date: Wednesdays - January 7- April 29
Time: 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Ages: Adults & Interested Youth
Join an experienced naturalist on a tour of Quinta Mazatlan, where you’ll learn more about the park, get ideas for your garden, and enjoy seeing the wildlife of our forest and gardens.

 

 

Exploring Nature Writing: Imagination, Childhood, and Landscapes

• Date: Friday, January 2
Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Ages: Adults
• Fee: $5 per participant

Writers and non-writers are invited to explore memory and sense of place, through embodiment and narrative-based practices intended to guide individuals towards conscious play: navigating imagination and tuning in to landscape.

This workshop will take place in an outdoor environment and include deep listening practices as well selected take-home readings. Participants are encouraged to bring their own writing materials, but it is not required.

Scents of the Scrub: Native Plant Walk

• Date: Friday, January 2
Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

In this sensory exploration, participants will make bracelets with flowers and leaves from fragrant native plants. Uncover the science of plant scents with a QM Naturalist.


Gardening Hour: Plant Pruning Tips 

• Date: Saturday, January 10
Time: 8:30 am - 9:30 am
Ages: Adults and Older Interested Youth
• Fee: Free with General Admission

Winter is a great time of year to prune your plants. Join one of our native plant practitioners to learn about proper pruning techniques of native plants.
