Thursday Night Live

Our weekly event series features a unique program every Thursday night, offering a diverse range of entertainment, workshops, and activities. Each week brings something new and exciting, ensuring there's always something for everyone to enjoy!

Birding for Beginners

• Dates: May 29
Time: 8:30 am - 10:30 am
Ages: Adults & Interested Youth
May is when the last migrating birds are making their way to their northern breeding grounds. And it is the time when our summer residents start being seen more often. Join us on our Guided Bird Tour to catch the last migrating birds and see our summer residents. Such as Groove-billed Ani, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, and Brown-crested Flycatcher to name a few.

Flashlight Nights

• Date: Every Tuesday in June, July and August
Time: 8:30pm-10:00pm
Ages: Adults on the first Tuesday of the month; All ages rest of the month
• Fee: $5

Enjoy Quinta Mazatlán in a different light during guided night walks through the forest. Encounter nocturnal animals like scorpions, spiders, and other critters of the nights – all with an experienced naturalist leading the way. Guests are encouraged to bring their own flashlights.

 

 

Rooted Yoga

• Dates: June 3 & 17, July 1, 15 & 29, August 12 & 26
Time: 6:30pm-7:30pm
Ages: All Ages Welcome
• Fee: $5

Bring your mats, blankets, blocks, natural insect repellent, water and be ready to become one with nature through yoga, meditation and sound. Instructors from Quiet Mind Yoga will teach a beginner friendly yoga flow with yoga poses and meditation that all the family can participate in.

 

 

 

Family Evening Exploration

Chicharra Fest

Celebrate the buzz of nature at our Chicharra Festival! Join us for a fun, family-friendly event all about cicadas, also known as chicharras. Discover the fascinating life cycle of these incredible insects through hands-on activities, educational booths, and a special walk through the Thorn Forest where pages from a storybook are displayed along the trail, bringing the story to life as you explore the woods and celebrate one of nature’s most unique seasonal sounds.

 

 

 

 

Summer Solstice

Celebrate the longest day of the year at our Summer Solstice Festival! Enjoy forest bathing, dancing, solstice-inspired arts and crafts, delicious food, a local marketplace, and native plant vendors. Join us as we welcome the start of summer with nature, creativity, and community.

 

 

 

 

Mothing by Moonlight

Celebrate the start of National Moth Week with a special night event at Quinta Mazatlan. Visit mothing stations to see insects, walk down dimly lit forest trails, enjoy courtyard arts & crafts, and experience a thornforest after dark. Bring your own flashlight!
