1. Self- Guided General Admission

School groups are welcome to Quinta Mazatlán!

Open Hours:Tuesday to Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Thursday evening till dark.

Cost: Park admission is $3 for adults (13 years +) and $2 for students (12 years and under) One adult is admitted free for every 10 students: $3 for every additional adult.

What to Explore?

• - The 1930’s Historic Adobe Home
• - 3 quarters of a mile of trails through the Thornforest
• - Over 20 interpretative signs on the trials to assist teachers in drawing real-life connection to studied concepts with their students.
• - 46 Bronze Sculptures highlighting animals native to the region.

Reservation:

• -It is strongly recommended to call and register in advance so we may better accommodate your group and make you aware of other park activity on the date of request, in which we may recommend another visitation day. We recommend not planning your trip until you have filled the Reservation Inquiry Form and have confirmed your reservation date with us.
• -This option is available for groups at a maximum number of 150 students; please contact us with larger group inquiries.

2. Self- Guided Extended Package

The extended package for self-guided groups offers a more facilitated visit.

Open Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Cost: $5 per child and one adult admitted free for every 10 students: $3 for every additional adult.

What is included?

• - Greeting from a QM Naturalist providing a short history of the home and land.
• - A reserved outdoor classroom setting with table and chairs set-up for school use during their visit.
• - Group is welcome to bring lunches and use the “outdoor classroom” setting for lunch after educational exploration.
• - Curated Adventure Pod Plans and Age Appropriate Curriculum is provided. (Up to 10 sets of laminated sheets on rings for teachers to feel confident leading their groups on the trails.)
• - Lesson Extension Activity.

Reservation:

• - Group registration is required before attending a self-guided trip. Please do NOT plan your field trip until you have submitted a Reservation Inquiry Form and received confirmation from QM. To confirm your field trip to the Urban Sanctuary, payment and/or Purchase Order is required in advance. Please do not make any plans until you have:
  • o Completed and Submitted the Inquiry Form
  • o Received a Written Confirmation form QM
  • o Submitted Payment and/or Purchase Order

This policy ensured that staff time and resources are dedicated to confirmed groups only. No-show are costly to the organization, and this process help us serve committed visitors with care and excellence. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these steps.
