Land Stewardship
“When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.” – Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac.
One of our main priorities at the Center for Urban Ecology is land stewardship, which is working to conserve natural resources to support people and wildlife, both now and into the future. While the focus is on stewardship in urban areas, the practices the CUE strives to set up can be applied to less developed land in the region as well.
Join the CUE as a volunteer to conserve natural resources to support people and wildlife, now and into the future. CUE stewardship includes actions such as:
• Gardening | • Presentation/Tours |
• Birding Counts | • Community Science |
• Special Events | • Marketing/Photography |
• Seed Collections | • Invasive Species Removal |
• Plant Propagation | • Growing & Caring for Tiny Forests |
If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out the registration form and contact us. Please also explore our Calendar of Events to see scheduled volunteer opportunities. Thank you for your support!
